Closing the Gap through pride and pathways

More than 120 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students from across our community of Catholic schools have joined with Elders and Community leaders for the launch of our inaugural Bangawarra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Secondary Students Engagement and Pathways Program in Kiama.

This activity contributes to the strategic focus area Belonging in a connected community by  supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in all areas of their learning and aiming to close the gap between indigenous and non-indigenous education outcomes and school completion rates through encouraging cultural pride and showcasing career possibilities.
